The Little Drummer Boy

We inherited Keaton's Rock Band game for the Wii. Ryan took to the drums immediately...you'll of course hear Megan singing "Life's What You Make It" in the background. It's funny to see him singing along as he plays...and yes, he's wearing a lovely blue leotard (backwards), leggings, a ballet skirt and ballet shoes. Sweet!

Christmas Caroling

Megan Montana and Rico joined their cousin Keaton for a musical rendition of "We Wish You A Merry Christmas." They are all a lot more confident with their talents than I ever was!

Christmas Performance

Megan Montana and her side-kick "Rico" entertained the crowd on Christmas night with many fabulous performances, including the crowd favorite, "You Are My Sunshine."

Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas everyone. We had a wonderful Christmas at home with both sets of grandparents here to celebrate the big day with us. The kids were able to open all of their gifts in record time this year. They got lots of great gifts from everyone...thanks so much! Rob has been enjoying his Wii...Ryan has gotten hit in the head at least 3 times so far...Megan only once. She must have faster reflexes. :)

Megan's Holiday Dance Recital

Megan had her holiday dance recital today. She looked beautiful and had a great time dancing with her reindeer friends. I'll post a video as soon as I can figure it out!

Ryan's 2 Year Old Birthday Shoot

We took some pictures with Jodi at the old hospital building. The kids had a good time playing in the leaves for their pictures. I can't believe my little "Buster Brown" is 2. I think he is the most handsome boy I know. We are so lucky to have these two little monkeys...they love each other a bunch!

2008 Halloween Stroll

Grammy, Rob, and I took the kids down to the annual Halloween Stroll downtown today. I was up until 1 am putting the finishing touches on the costumes that Nana made for the kids. The kids loved their outfits and had a great time. They both won first prize in their age divisions, but missed the award ceremony due to napping! We have several other parties this week before the big event on Friday. It will be a fun week for sure! Happy Halloween to all!

Happy Birthday Ryan!!!

Yesterday was Ryan's 2nd birthday. Yikes! We took him to Applebee's for dinner and a birthday song...he seemed to like it a lot. He got a cool airplane to decorate his room from Papa and Grammy. We had an ice cream cake with a sparkler candle...he did NOT like the candle! Today we had his cowboy birthday party with his friends. They made stick horses and cowboy vests. They seemed to have a good time. Ryan was way into opening presents and got a lot of cool stuff. We had a horse cake with a regular candle...still not into the candle. Once it was gone, he loved the cake. I can't believe our little guy is two!

Amy's wedding

Here are some pictures from my cousin Amy's wedding. Everything was fabulous...they did a great job planning everything. Ryan enjoyed a nap while Megan danced up a storm with Annie and mom. I'm so glad that we got to go back for this!

Fun In Rhode Island

Last week, Megan, Ryan, and I went to Rhode Island for my cousin Amy's wedding. I had a great time showing them a "real" Fall! The weather was gorgeous and the trees were just starting to pop! Megan is now saying that she can't decide if she likes red or purple leaves the best...that alone makes me think I accomplished my goal! We went apple picking and took a hayride...we even decorated pumpkins. The only problem with our trip was that it was too short. Can't wait to go back this summer!

Soccer Time!

Soccer season is in full swing here in Rock Springs. Megan was hesitant to do anything other than run with the group during games. She told Rob that she didn't like the other girls pushing her...so he told her not to be afraid to "just push back". Her arms have been flying around ever since...she's even kicking now. So far she's scored 3 goals...2 for her team and one for the other.

Breakfast In Bed

Megan and Ryan enjoyed a leisurely breakfast in bed before the big soccer game this weekend.

Our Big Preschool Student

I can't believe it, but Megan is old enough to be in preschool. Unreal! She started school on the 3rd with Miss Mer Lee. She loves school! She has Show and Tell every day...today she brought applesauce for "A" week. Time is definitely going by too fast with the kids as far as Rob and I are concerned.

Rainy Day At Granite

Not too many pictures from this adventure. We drove up to Granite for the day to meet Bob, Sheila, and Megan. It poured about 80% of the time we were there. We had a tremendous rainstorm that forced a bull moose to come charging through the vacant campsite next to us. It was freaky! He was pretty frantic after dealing with the quarter-sized hail. Anyway, we all lived to tell about it...even Cocoa who bravely charged after the moose. Yikes.

Currant Creek Ranch

The one place that I really wanted to bring my parents and John to was the Currant Creek Ranch. It is seriously in the middle of nowhere...even by Wyoming standards! (That's really saying something!) Anyway, the food is great and the atmosphere is fantastic. Bob and Sheila joined us for the night. It was a really good time.

Nana's Birthday

Nana had a big birthday while she was out here. She got a surprise visit from Uncle John a few days before. On her birthday, we went out to the Rodeo Grill for dinner. Megan insisted on making a princess birthday cake (with "tricky" candles) and we enjoyed that later on. I know that we all enjoyed her birthday!

Working On The House

Here are a few pictures of some of our recent projects. Rob has been working his tail off lately on the fence. We have 2 sides up so far...hoping to get the last one up tomorrow. We were lucky enough to have a friend loan us his Bobcat...I credit it with saving our marriage. :) In his spare time, Rob has been moving dirt back and forth from the back to the front and vice-versa. We still have a lot of dirt to move onto the side of the yard. We've also been building a couple of retaining walls, I call them (collectively) the "Great Wall of Zotti". It's been a ton of work, but is starting to really shape up. Hope you don't mind, but I couldn't make the post without a few pics of the kids!

Weekend In Jackson

We went to Jackson a few weeks ago with Nana and Grandpa Tigh and Uncle John. It was a gorgeous weekend in the Tetons. We took the canoe up to String Lake for the afternoon and had a picnic. We had a great time being tourists. We were a little surprised at how much the Jackson Hole "Shoot-out" has changed...a bit more cabaret than we remembered. Even so, we can't wait to go up again!

Lots of summer activities!

We've been really busy this month. We went to the county fair and rodeo...which was very exciting! Megan and Ryan are both fixated on horses. Megan rode her first horse, but Ryan declined to ride the ponies at the fair. He totally wigged out on the carousel...maybe next year. Other top summer activities include playing in the mud, eating ice cream, and trying on dad's boots. Rob is running for City Council again...primary is tomorrow...wish him luck!

Megan's birthday party

Well we had a great time at Megan's Hannah Montana birthday party. The girls made purses, the boys made airplanes, and everyone ate cake and ice cream. After the party, Megan rocked the house while performing an entire CD full of Hannah's music for the remaining crowd. The evening was topped off with a tour of the current fire engine and a ride on the newly restored City of RS fire engine, driven by none other than the mayor himself. What a day!

Portland 1

We rented a house in Lincoln City, Oregon over the 4th of July, along with the whole Zotti family. We had a blast being tourists, hanging out on the beach, and getting to know all of the cousins. Can't wait to do it again!

Portland 2

Here are some more pictures from our trip.

Rockin' Out!

Here's a clip of our shy girl rockin' out with her favorite Hannah Montana song. She can be seen doing this about 200 times a day! No kidding...probably more than that.

Megan's 4 year old pictures

Megan turns 4 on the 25th, so we had our friend Jodi take her pictures. She and Ryan had a great time at the photo shoot. Megan got way into posing for the camera...watch out Hannah Montana!
