Tiny Dancer

Megan had her dance recital on May 15, 2009. She looked beautiful and danced her heart out to the Jackson 5's "ABC". We had a great time. She really loves to dance.

Camping at Granite Falls

We went camping with Grammy and Papa over the past Memorial Day Weekend up at Granite Falls. It is a great spot in the Hoback Canyon, about 30 miles from Jackson, WY. We saw "camelopes, mooses, reindeer, and wammas". We went to Jackson for an afternoon and took advantage of a "kid's day" at the park. We also went on a stagecoach ride with the kids. Funny...there was a leather pouch under the rear of the horses. I asked Megan what she thought it was for. She paused and said, "Ummmmm....candy?" We thought it was funny. Otherwise, we spent the time throwing rocks in the river, painting rocks, playing slapjack, and jumping off of tree stumps. Fun was had by all. We can't wait to go back!

Dramatic Dancing

Every night we watch horse videos on TV to help Ryan out with his horse obsession. They usually have some music in the background. Megan took the opportunity to express herself through dance. She is VERY serious about it. We think she's very cute and funny!

Inauguration 2009

Rob and I went to Washington, D.C., last week to go to the Obama inauguration. I thought it would be a great way to not think about turning 40! We had lots of fun. We were able to see a bunch of old friends while we were there. It was great to catch up. We did lots of touristy things...Smithsonian, International Spy Museum, and the mall. The inauguration was interesting...loads of people and lots of chaos. We would love to go back to D.C., but don't feel the need to go for another inauguration...although we appreciate the opportunity that we were given. The highlight of the trip for Rob was our stop at Shula's steakhouse in Baltimore. He and Greg were able to put away 48 oz steaks, (with sides), and earned their way onto the big plaque outside the door. We're pretty proud. :)
